According to a statement at the Bitcointalk forum, the Dogrehereum Hardfork will occur in the “late winter of 2018”, holders of DOGE will receive new DOGX tokens in the ratio of 1 : 1, the cryptocurrency will be compatible with the Ethereum wallet and “ready for daily use”.
According to the developers, Dogethereum “will be based on the Ethereum algorithm, which supports the fastest transactions and smart contracts.”
Bitcointalk users have already noted that the introduction of smart contracts can increase the practical value of crypto currency. It is also alleged that the project is being launched with the support of the community and will not include “no ICO, no premining and other manipulations.”
The developers note that ASIC-mining for Dogethereum is not available: crypto currency can be profitably mined using graphics cards.
Also on the forum is a road map of the project, which includes “research and development of a faster algorithm with improved scalability in 2019”.
In early February, the Truebit team successfully conducted a transaction on the cross-platform bridge with the same name Dogethereum, during which the Dogecoin tokens were successfully transferred to the Ethereum test network and returned back.
