For perspective I remember 2018 it was rough. One of the projects I was looking to buy during that time was chainlink. It was a scary time well I picked some up under .30 cents and kept buying small amounts.
During the other crash in 3/2020 I picked up some ETH for $90 and BTC sub 5k.
Your brain is telling you to run but you really should be buying what you can afford to lose short term its hard to do that’s why only a few will make nice gains.

It is important to understand that UST wasn’t just randomly unpegged. It was targeted by an attack with a lot of liquidity, enough to provoke a flight and overwhelm LGF. It feels as if there was a concerted goal, not merely to crash Terra and the wider market, but to actually undermine legitimacy and trust in defi, algorithmic stable, or crypto – can’t be sure but the power implications are considerable.
Come on maaaaaan. Given the way UST is structured, how can you even call it a stable coin?
Guy/Coin Bureau always said LUNA and UST would be attacked as there’s a lot riding on the stablecoin wars, especially with the Korean govt backing it and CBDCs coming. If Citadel was behind the attack that explains a lot, the US would never allow Korea to beat them.
USDT lost it’s peg by wide margins multiple times in history yet people still use it. UST will recover as well but that doesn’t mean Luna will be getting back over $100 anytime soon probably not this year
We are not even close to the kind of bottom we had in 2018. ETH can easily be back to $1,000

many fail to think big on bitcoin and they keep telling me we will never see a new ATH again… i cannot help but laugh every time i have heard this on the last few major drops over the years. A new ATH will come!!!

I’m not in LUNA or UST. But depending on how LUNA handles the UST issue and the steps developers take to safeguard the system from this ordeal happening again, I’d be inclined to see this as an expensive but critically important test.
I’m glad it’s happening to only a couple billion dollars. Imagine never getting a stress test like this and getting hundreds of billions or even trillions of dollars REKT. Hopefully the devs will find solid solutions to restore trust once the bulls are back in town.

It does not bode well for them that they’re so vulnerable. I’d be out of UST and LUNA in a heartbeat if I still had any (thankfully sold all my luna… never had UST but flerted with it)

Atleast now we know that UST isn’t capable of crushing BTC’s value when it collapse. This is a positive if you ask me.
I got lucky… Had a UST-USDC liquidity position. I saw it start to drop to like 1.005 ust to usdc, and had a feeling, plus considering the coming Bitcoin drop and what that would do to market sentiment, so I converted it all to USDT and USDC before the drama.

If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.
These types of attacks are expected and a stablecoin and defi platform must be able to withstand them.
If the platform is vulnerable, it should be used cautiously and not trusted.
