The ripple value has risen 16% in the last 24 hours making it by far the biggest gain in the cryptocurrency market. This highly optimistic sentiment is fueled by rumors that Coinbase may soon be adding its trading platform to the XRP token, an event expected since last year.
The third largest cryptocurrency reached a record high of $ 3.84 in the first week of 2018, but Coinbase denied this opportunity at that time. This, along with a general bearish sentiment across the crypto market, pulled Ripple down $ 0.70 on February 6.
Now it seems Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Coinbase COO Asiff Hirji appear together on CNBC’s Fast Money show on Tuesday (6 March). An Xrpchat user claimed that CNBC mentioned this before a commercial break, and even shared a picture of the two executives and two other potential guests.
Some speculate that the much anticipated XRP listing on Coinbase will be officially announced in the Fast Money program. If true, Ripple could experience another impressive rally that is likely to hit a new record high.
Coinbase is the largest cryptocurrency in the US and one of the largest in the world. It has recently seen over $ 1 billion in annual revenue and more than 11 million users. It recently suffered problems where a malfunction more than required the users and two lawsuits were filed against them. Nonetheless, the San Francisco-based company remains one of the biggest players on the market, and Ripple will benefit if it’s listed there.
