St. Louis Federal Reserve: Bitcoin ay parang Regular Currency

Ang Federal Reserve Bank ng St. Louis ay naglaan ng ilang high-profile validation para sa isang pangunahing Premisa ng Bitcoin at iba pang cryptocurrencies. Isang blog post na ito ngayong linggo na batay sa isang mas naunang sawang pananaliksik papel sinabi na "ang mga yunit ng Bitcoin ay walang tunay na halaga" – Subalit idinagdag na ang mga pera "tulad ng mga Pilipino. Dolyar, Euro, at ang Swiss Frank . . . ay walang tunay na halaga alinman."

Pinakain ang mananaliksik ituro, simula pa noong decoupling mula sa mga ginintuang pamantayan sa simula ng 1970s, almost all global reserve currencies rely on nothing but trust to function as a medium of value exchange.

Ang post na ito ay napupunta sa upang magpakilala na "mayroong isang limitadong suplay" ng cash at mga Bitcoin. Bagaman kinikilala ng post na ito ang Fed ang kakayahan nito upang mapalawak ang money supply.
